# Asset Library

> Keep your visual building blocks organized and reusable across files, projects, and teams.

The Asset Library is where your creative building blocks live. Save, organize, and reuse colors, images, 3D models, prompts, and collections across files and projects — then reference any of them directly in Modify with **@**. Organize everything into folders on your own terms, share brand and seasonal assets with your team via the Team Library (Enterprise), and get started fast with a default library pre-loaded for new users.

***

## When to use the Asset Library

The Asset Library is a centralized collection of reusable visual assets — including **Colors**, **Color Palettes**, **Images**, **3D Models**, **Prompts**, and **Collections** — that can be saved, organized into folders, and reused across your Vizcom files and projects. It's designed for:

* **Designers and teams** who reuse visual elements across projects
* Users who need **consistent colors, materials, image references, or 3D models**
* Workflows where **shared visual assets** support brand cohesion
* **Enterprise teams** managing brand and seasonal assets across an org
* Designers who want to **save and reuse prompt language** developed in Vizcom
* **New users** who want a ready-made starting point before building their own library To access your assets, open the **Assets** tab in the left sidebar or Workbench toolbar.

***

## Folder hierarchy

Folders replace the previous asset-type grouping. The default view shows all assets in one place — from there, you create the structure that fits your workflow.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Asset Library">
    Access the Assets tab from the left sidebar or Workbench toolbar.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a folder">
    Click **New Folder**, give it a name, and assign it to your personal library, a project, or your Team Library (Enterprise).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add assets to folders">
    Drag existing assets into folders, or assign a folder when uploading new assets via batch upload.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Filter, sort, and toggle view">
    Use filtering, sort by name, or toggle between grid and list view to navigate your library.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Organize folders around how you think about your work — by project, client, season, or material type. You're not locked into any structure and can reorganize at any time.
</Tip>

## How to add assets

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Asset Library" />

  <Step title="Browse existing assets">
    See all saved **Colors**, **Color Palettes**, **Images**, **3D Models**, **Prompts**, and **Collections** in your library, organized by folder.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a new asset">
    Click the **"+"** button or use **Batch Upload** to add multiple assets at once.

    * For **Prompts**: paste or type your prompt text and give it a name.
    * For **Collections**: upload up to nine images and add a name and description.
    * For **Colors** and **Color Palettes**: add swatches or name a group of colors.
    * For **Images**: upload as JPG, PNG, and more.
    * For **3D Models**: upload a supported 3D file format, or save directly from the Workbench.

    On ingest, assign each asset to a folder or library scope.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name & save">
    Give your asset a descriptive name so you and your team can reuse it easily. For Prompts and Collections, this is also what you'll type after **@** to reference it in Modify.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use in your designs">
    Drag assets into your canvas, prompts, or reference panels. Or type **@** in any Modify prompt to reference any asset directly in a generation.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What lives in the Asset Library

### Colors

Individual color swatches. Add your brand or project colors to keep them accessible across files and generations.

### Color Palettes

Named groups of colors. Save a seasonal palette or brand color system once and reference it by name in any Modify generation — Vizcom applies the exact values every time.

### Images

Reference images uploaded as JPG, PNG, and more. Use them as visual inputs or reference them in Modify prompts.

### 3D Models

Save 3D models — footwear lasts, car bases, furniture, or any recurring base geometry — as reusable library presets. Add a model directly from the Workbench to your library mid-session without interrupting your flow. Saved 3D models are available across sessions and can be organized into folders like any other asset type.

**Best for:**

* Base geometry you return to repeatedly (lasts, chassis, shells)
* 3D references you want to carry across projects
* Models that anchor consistency across a design family

### Prompts

Reusable prompt snippets. As you design in Vizcom, you develop language that works — prompts that nail the lighting, the material, the finish. Save them here so they don't disappear when the session ends. Reference a saved Prompt in any Modify prompt using **@** followed by the Prompt name.

**Best for:**

* Prompt language you've refined over multiple sessions
* Style instructions you want to apply consistently across projects
* Prompt language developed elsewhere that you want to bring into Vizcom

### Collections

Groups of up to nine images saved as a single referenceable unit. Use Collections to teach Vizcom what a specific product, brand, or style looks like — not just from a single frame. Reference a Collection in any Modify prompt using **@** followed by the Collection name.

**Best for:**

* Multi-angle product shots to anchor object consistency across iterations
* Brand moodboards or visual identity references
* Style or material references for a recurring project

<Tip>
  The more focused and curated your Collection images, the more coherent and predictable your outputs will be. A tightly edited set of product angles will outperform a broad, mixed moodboard. Pair a Collection reference with clear prompt language for best results.

## @ referencing in Modify

Type **@** in any Modify prompt field to open a live, searchable view of your asset library. Browse by category or keep typing to filter to a specific asset. Select one and it becomes an active reference in your generation.

**Supported asset types:** Colors, Color Palettes, Images, Prompts, Collections.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open @ referencing">
    Place your cursor in any Modify prompt field and type **@**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Browse or filter">
    Browse by asset category or keep typing to filter to a specific asset name.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select and reference">
    Select an asset — it becomes an active reference in your prompt.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate">
    Continue prompting and generate as usual.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Referencing an asset works as a vocabulary mechanism — Vizcom treats the referenced asset as a definition of the term you use for it. This is particularly useful for brand-internal part names or unfamiliar terminology the model wouldn't otherwise recognize.
</Tip>

**Availability:** Modify prompt fields in Workbench and Studio.

| **My library** | Access assets across files in a single workspace | Pro & Enterprise |
| **Team Library** | Shared org-wide library for brand and seasonal assets | Enterprise |
| **Default Vizcom Library** | Pre-loaded materials, colors, palettes, and 3D models | All plans (new users) |

<Note>
  The **Default Vizcom Library** mirrors Vizcom's template folder structure and is designed as an onboarding scaffold — a "what good looks like" reference for users building their first library. You can add to it, reorganize it, or replace it entirely as your own library grows.
</Note>

## Team Library (Enterprise)

The Team Library is an enterprise-scoped shared library for brand and seasonal assets. It gives your whole org a single source of truth — so every designer is pulling from the same approved materials, palettes, and references.

**What to use it for:**

* Brand color systems and approved palettes
* Seasonal asset sets shared across a design org
* 3D base models used across multiple projects or designers
* Any asset that needs to stay consistent across your team's work Team Library assets are accessible to all members of your Enterprise workspace and can be organized into folders just like your personal library.

***

## Default Vizcom Library

New Vizcom users are automatically provisioned with a default library containing a curated set of materials, colors, palettes, and 3D models. It's designed as a starting scaffold — useful references to work with while you build your own library.

The default library mirrors Vizcom's template folder structure, so it's also a good reference for how to organize your own assets as your library grows.

## Tips & FAQ

<Tip>
  Use folders to match the way your team thinks about work — not the way the tool categorizes things. The more intentional your library structure, the faster every generation becomes.
